I just wanted to take a few minutes to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas before I close down for the holidays.  Please enjoy a little peak at my year of fun with oh so many amazing clients that I had the pleasure of meeting and working with in 2014!

One of my business goals for 2014 is to start blogging more regularly again.  I hope that you will stop by often and will enjoy what I'm posting.  I hope to share a little bit of all sorts of different things with you.  Of course there will be session highlights, a few tutorials, product spotlights, community events, and of course some personal things along the way. 

 

I thought I would start off the year with one of my absolute favorite types of sessions.  Newborns!  Newborns can be a lot of work, but it's so worth it when you capture something precious like this.

 

Below you will find 10 of my favorite newborn images from 2013.  They are in no particular order.  Just a random mix of the precious little boys and girls that I had the pleasure of photographing last year.

 OK, so let's talk about baby Melloy why don't we!

 I mean, what's not to love.

He was so sweet during our time together.

 Normally I shoot infant shots within a week of their birth for best results.

But when I talked to his mom last week she told me he was already 5 weeks old. 

I wasn't sure exactly how the session would unfold with a

5 week old baby as opposed to a 5 day old baby.

 As you can see, everything unfolded perfectly!

 And would you look at those eyes.  I could stare into them all day long.

Sweet Baby D - Hendersonville, NC Newborn Photographer

 

Sweet baby D is the fourth born child, first born daughter, of a very dear friend of mine.  We live almost identical lives with our 3 ornery boys and 1 baby girl.  Even our husbands are very similar! 

 

 I drove all the 8+ hours back to Ohio just to photograph this little one!



And I must say, it was worth every mile of that long drive.



Even though my sweet third born son and daughter bickered and fought the ENTIRE time we were driving.  I was actually kind of impressed with them that they could find 8+ hours worth of stuff to argue about.



Peyton refers to Delaney as Baby Belamey.





Delaney's mama calls her Princess.
 



 

I refer to her as lucky.  Lucky to be born into such an amazing family with a mommy & daddy who adore her, and three big brothers to protect her for life.  You can check out some pictures of her brothers here, here,  and here if you like.

Baby Riddock | Hendersonville, NC Newborn Photographer

What a sweet baby boy that I got to spend the afternoon with on Monday.

He was a joy to work with.  He even gave me a little smile.

 I think these pictures make him look like he is floating on a cloud.

Don't you wish you could take a little nap on a cloud?  I sure do.

You have heard of the Cowardly Lion right?

Well how about the Grumpy Lion?

Little Riddock was not a fan of my lion hat.

Doesn't he look like he is pouting?

If I could read his mind I would imagine that he is saying to himself

"I look ridiculous in this thing."

I promise I won't make you wear a silly hat next time Riddock!

Ryder & Abbey | Hendersonville, NC Newborn Photographer

Please help me welcome baby Ryder.

We got off to a bit of a slow start during our session.

He was awake and not really into this whole picture thing.

But then mom fed the little sweetie and he was off to dreamland during the rest of our time together.

 

We also snapped a few pictures of Ryder with his very sweet big sister Abbey.

Such a peaceful image.

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Casting Call | Sunbury Photographer

I'm looking for a newborn baby boy to model some new props that I will be receiving soon! 

The photos will be used as advertising for a new Etsy artist that I am teaming up with.

                  Requirements:  Baby Boy age birth - 10 days

                                            Must be willing to sign a model release

                                            Must live within 45 miles of Sunbury

Model will be compensated with approximately 10 - 15 full resolution

 images on a disc with full printing rights.
