You may or may not know that I have three boys. Drew who is 12 years old, Brodey who is 10 years old, and Cooper who is 4 years old. Then we finally had a baby girl. I get excited over silly things sometimes when it comes to her. The boys and hubby look at me like I'm crazy sometimes.
After 12 years of dinosaurs, Power Rangers, light sabers, Batman, Spiderman, and Yu-Gi-Oh, I get a little excited when I get to have something pretty in my house for a change. The boys ask me why I have to dress Peyton "fancy" all the time. They think she is "fancy" if she has a dress on with leggings and a bow in her hair. Of course their idea of dressing "fancy" is putting on long pants instead of shorts, and gasp, a golf shirt. BOYS!
So the other day we were in Peyton's room playing with her toys.
I decided to see if I could get those little ponytail holders to stay in her hair yet.
And voila, pigtails!
I for one thought they looked pretty cute.
Then Coop walked in and looked at her and grinned.
"Mommy, she looks like three horn!"
Again with the dinosaurs.
I'm going to keep dressing her in dresses and putting bows in her hair as long as she will let me. I'm sure the day will come all too soon when she will refuse to wear the pretty little dresses and will cringe at the thought of a bow in her hair. She lives in a house full of rough neck, football playin, gun shootin boys afterall. I doubt she will be a girly girl!
